West Pines Behavioral Health Hospital, located in Westminster, CO, provides specialized care for adolescents ages 13-17, adults age 18 and older, and seniors age 55 and older who are living with mental health concerns and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our comprehensive approach is tailored to each age group, addressing the mental, physical, emotional, and social aspects of well-being to promote holistic healing.

 

We are currently seeking a Full-Time, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our skilled and patient focused team. This role will also flex to cover the adult units when needed.

 

Compensation Range: $300K-$330K per year, depending on experience.

About the role:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
