Overview

Full Time APP to join our Portland, OR MAT programs

 

We are recruiting for either an NP or PA to join our Portland team for a Medication Assisted Treatment programs. These programs have offer full time schedule of 40, competitive compensation and complete benefits. Hours are typically Monday -Friday 8 AM- 4 PM.This is an Adult, Outpatient program for those with Opioid Use Disorder 

Our Addiction Medicine patients require care from specialty-trained professionals, in a highly-specialized, and quality-focused environment. Our team in Portland, Oregon are recruiting a like-minded licensed NP/PA to their team.

 

Under the direction of the Medical Director, the APP is responsible for leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of the clinic within the boundaries of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include planning, organizing medical and clinical practices; providing direct patient care and assisting other departments with direct interactions with physicians or medical staff.

 

  • Prefer previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment
  • No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment
  • Current license to practice medicine in Oregon
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
  • Additional specific DEA credentials may be required, per state and clinic regulations or policy

Responsibilities

Summary:

  • Makes a comprehensive physical assessment of patients consistent with training and education;
  • Performs physical examinations on patients admitted for medication maintenance;
  • Ensures physician medication orders are being followed. Refers patients to appropriate physicians and consults with the supervising physician;
  • Evaluates patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results, and patient feedback;
  • Provides patient and staff education on medication maintenance;
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF Standards, and clinic policy and procedure;
  • Maintains and expands knowledge base in accordance with the requirements necessary to maintain professional certification as a Physician Assistant; and,
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Physician Assistant program from an accredited college or university
  • Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment clinic preferred
  • No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certified Physician Assisant.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant able to practice in state where the clinic operates. 
  • DEA license.
